Leopard Hills is in the western sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and is approximately 500 kms due east of Johannesburg in the panoramic Mpumalanga area. There is easy access to the lodge by road or by air, either with a private charter plane directly to the airstrip at Leopard Hills, or with a commercial airline to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport where there is a further 2 hour drive or a 25 minute flight on to the lodge.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve became an official reserve in 1949 and in 1962, changed from a hunting reserve to a photographic safari conservancy. It has become well known for its selection of exclusive lodges, one of which is Leopard Hills, with an impeccable reputation for luxury and service.

An early morning or late afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle with a Game Ranger from Leopard Hills is a perfect opportunity to take amazing photographs. The Rangers are very knowledgeable and will be able to answer both your photography questions and questions on wildlife. A Game Ranger will also accompany you on a walking safari in the early morning where you can get up close to the African bush and see small animals that you may miss on a game drive.
